ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Before fulfilling her childhood dream of attending the Rhode Island School of Design, Betsy van Die took classes at the Art Institute of Chicago’s Young Artists’ Studios program in addition to studying with Chicago imagist Phyllis Bramson.
After graduating from RISD, she lived in Rotterdam, the Netherlands where she had a solo photography exhibit featuring the gritty B&W NYC cityscape now featured on her Instagram page @nycinthe1970s.
In the last three decades, she has exhibited her work in more than 50 juried exhibits throughout the United States and abroad, with paintings, collages,and sculptures in public and private collections.
